香港女艺人陈慧琳(Kelly)前晚在香港红磡体育馆举行最后一场演唱会时，突然宣布婚讯，但明言不会退休，并与歌迷许下约定，说在她生了孩子后会再次在红馆举行演唱会，与歌迷再聚。

演唱会现场，陈慧琳眼泛泪光说：“今晚我在红馆装修前演出最后一场演唱会，完成了一个好大的任务……不过，我还有另一个更加大的任务，就是要结婚……”

她强忍眼泪问歌迷：“如果他日红馆装修完成，我又结了婚，你们会不会再来看我演出？当我已经有了两个BB之后，再唱《花花世界》时，你们会不会来看我？”此时全场歌迷大受感动、情绪高涨，高声响应：“会！”陈慧琳闻言开心地说：“虽然我结婚，但不会退休的！”陈慧琳最后献唱一曲《最爱演唱会》谢幕。

据报道，陈慧琳的另一半刘建浩(Alex)现年35岁，生于富裕家庭，于美国修读建筑，毕业后即回港接手父亲的制衣生意，其后又自组丝花公司。

Alex的父亲与陈慧琳父母于多年前认识，两家的儿女也因此交上朋友，从小青梅竹马后来就发展为情侣，两人拍拖也得到双方家长的认同，甚至陈慧琳当年现身张国荣生日会的时候也和Alex的姐姐牵手出席，两家人感情之融洽，尽在不言中。

1995年10月，陈慧琳和男友拍拖照曝光后，女方承认从1992年就已经开始了恋情。1999年4月，Kelly公开承认和拍拖七年的初恋男友Alex已分手半年。甚少谈及感情事的陈慧琳，在镁光灯下也哭成了泪人，之后两人宣布分手，但后来又再复合。

与男友复合后，陈慧琳表示，她在40岁前一定要结婚生子。“至于结婚，其实我也想，一直就很憧憬有一个豪华热闹的婚礼，而且我一定会摆酒，虽然Alex希望在外国结婚，但我想在香港，始终是香港的朋友多。如果结了婚，我会先休息一段日子，因为他希望能快点生孩子，不想和子女的年龄相距太大，这方面我必须配合他。”
